Tuesday, February 6th at 7PM - Photo Group Meeting
Tuesday, February 13th at 7PM - Artist Group Meeting

Hello and Happy February! This month's newsletter has some important schedule change information, so please read carefully.

Going forward, the MAG artist group meetings will be held only in April, May, June, September, and October. Photo group meetings will follow the schedule that was discussed at Michele's last meeting.

IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR PAINTERS:
Wednesday painting sessions will now be held in the afternoons from 1 -3:30PM, instead of in the morning. Thursday evening sessions will also be starting again when the weather warms up - stay tuned for further details on that!

The photo group meets on Tuesday February 6th. Barbara Hale will give a video presentation on what to photograph in winter. Members are also invited to bring photos to share with the group.

For 2018 only, the artist group will meet in February to vote on the slate of officers. We are still looking for volunteers to fill some positions, so please speak up if you're interested in helping out. The creative "zooming in" exercise that was preempted last month will commence after the voting. If you'd like to try it, bring in a photograph, magazine photo, or artwork and an index card, paper and pencils - or any medium you'd like to work in.

COMING SOON:
Within the month of February, we'll be setting up a few display racks in the window of the Sugden Building on Main Street in Spencer. If you are interested in displaying your art in that space, please contact Debbie Kirk by email or by phone.

Note: Because of the window's direct sun exposure, we're primarily looking for light fast works such as oils and acrylics.

MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS:
Just a reminder that it is time to renew your membership for 2018. Our annual membership fee is still just $30 for individuals and $50 for a dual family membership. The form is available in the "forms to download" section of this site. Please print and fill out the form, include a check in the appropriate amount made out to the Massasoit Art Guild, and mail it by the end of February to:

Massasoit Art Guild
P. O. Box 14
East Brookfield, MA 01515

If anyone has great difficulty downloading or printing the form, please contact Dick Kirk and he will get a copy to you.
